About Aaron Blabey
A native of Australia, Aaron Blabey is an accomplished children’s book author who first began writing in 2006. Best known for his Pig the Pug and The Bad Guys series, Blabey has sold more than 13 million copies of his picture books worldwide and has won numerous awards including ten REAL Awards, an INDIE Book Award for Children’s Book of the Year, a Children’s Book Council of Australia – Book of the Year Award, a NSW Premiers Literary Award for Children’s Literature, two Australian Book Design Awards and a Children’s Peace Literature Award.
Blabey’s works often feature humorous story lines with ‘over-the-top’ characters aimed at appealing to preschool and elementary age children. His popular, New York Times Best Seller, The Bad Guys, was picked up by DreamWorks Animation in 2018 and development was started on a screen adaptation of the series with Blabey serving as an executive producer on the project.
