About Eric
One of the most well-known author/illustrators of the last century, Eric Carle has written more than 70 books which have sold over 140 million copies throughout the world.  His works are a common fixture in elementary classrooms and have won Eric numerous awards including the Children’s Literature Legacy Award, which is given to children’s book authors who have made lasting contributions in the field.

Carle’s many brilliant works are characterized by a familiar, collage illustration style that make them fun for toddler, pre-school and elementary age children.  His works often feature animals as title characters that contain many interesting tidbits about them throughout, making his books great educational options for home or in the classroom.
