About Extremely Cute Animals Operating Heavy Machinery:
With a title like Extremely Cute Animals Operating Heavy Machinery, it’d be hard to look past this work by David Gordon without at least giving it a peek.

When faced with the challenge of bullies on the playground destroying their sand castles, Karen and her adorable friends set out to build something indestructible that even Trent and his obnoxious friends can’t knock down! In the end, the extremely cute animals are able to build something much bigger than a sand castle, while also showing forgiveness and compassion to the mean bullies from the playground.

Why We Recommend It
At first glance, the book’s creative title and colorful illustrations throughout make it really clear that this is a fun read for a toddler, pre-school and even elementary aged child. Surprisingly to some, the book also carries an important message of anti-bullying which serves as a great discussion starter for that subject.

While the story does come off a bit rushed at times, it’s still an easy read that your child will love to include in your story time rotation!
