About Anna Dewdney
Since her first published book in 2005 (Llama Llama Red Pajama), author/illustrator Anna Dewdney has been a household name among elementary school teachers and parents. Born in New Jersey, Anna spent the early stages of her career as an illustrator of both children’s and adult books before publishing her first work in the Llama Llama series. That series immediately established Dewdney as one of the most popular children’s book authors, with each of her Llama Llama books making their way on to the New York Times Best-Seller‘s list.
Anna’s Llama Llama books are frequently used in classrooms all around the world and can be found in nine languages. The series popularity was put front and center when, in 2011, Dewdney’s Llama Llama Red Pajama was chosen as Jumpstart’s Read for the Record book where a new world record was set for most readings of one book in a single day.
